GENMA Completes 1,200t Shipbuilding Gantry Crane Lift

We’ve successfully completed the lifting of a 1,200-tonne shipbuilding gantry crane for Hantong Changyang — a key milestone in our customer’s core equipment installation and an important step toward full production.

With a span of 207.5 meters and a lift height of 85 meters, the crane is built for large block lifting at shipyards. Its lightweight structure, optimized through FEA, helps reduce foundation costs. Wind tunnel simulation ensures stable performance in coastal conditions. VFD and PLC control with anti-sway and alignment functions enable faster positioning and higher efficiency. An energy feedback system lowers power consumption, while modular design and remote diagnostics simplify maintenance and minimize downtime.

During the lift, our team worked closely with the customer and partners to overcome challenges including the massive component size, complex site conditions, and on-site coordination. With careful planning and coordinated execution, we completed the lift safely and efficiently — demonstrating strong professionalism and extensive experience in large equipment lifting.
