Third SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel of ROC Completes Successful Sea Trials
Recently, the third SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel (Hull No. N1055) built by ROC successfully completed all offshore sea trial tasks, setting another industry benchmark through efficient contract performance.

The sea trials were carried out in collaboration with the shipowner and classification society, conducting comprehensive tests on various ship systems including propulsion, manoeuvring, DP2 dynamic positioning, and environmental protection. All performance indicators of the vessel met or exceeded design standards, demonstrating stable navigation, precise positioning, and outstanding green and energy-saving configurations. The high-quality performance won unanimous recognition from all parties involved.
Since the project commenced, the project team has fully leveraged construction, commissioning, and sea trial experience from the previous two vessels of the same series. They continuously optimised workflow processes, refined construction plans, and proactively identified and mitigated potential risks, ensuring efficient coordination and tight linkage among all stages. All team members adhered strictly to the schedule and maintained rigorous quality control. While ensuring that vessel construction quality and testing standards were not compromised, they made every effort to shorten the sea trial cycle, ultimately achieving a successful completion of the sea trials.
The successful return of the N1055 vessel from sea trials is a strong testament to the project team's refined management and efficient collaborative capabilities, while also showcasing ROC's mature batch-building capacity and robust contract performance ability. Currently, the entire SPP40 series vessel project is progressing in an orderly manner, with multiple vessels entering the final stage before delivery.
Moving forward, ROC will continue to leverage its technical and management advantages, advance subsequent tasks with a commitment to excellence, steadily complete vessel deliveries, and consistently provide high-quality equipment and reliable services to the global offshore market.
