Sea Trial Success: ROC Delivers Another Milestone with Second SPP40 PSV

Recently, the second SPP40 platform supply vessel (Hull No. N1054), built by ROC for CDB Leasing and SPEC, successfully completed its sea trial and returned triumphantly. This marks another highlight in the construction process of this vessel series and represents a major milestone achieved after the successful delivery of the lead ship.

The sea trial was jointly conducted by the ROC project team, the shipowner, and the classification society, subjecting the vessel's entire system to rigorous testing at sea. Prior to the trial, the project team fully leveraged the construction experience from the same vessel series and scientifically formulated the sea trial plan. During the trial, despite unfavorable weather conditions, the project team responded swiftly and made decisive adjustments to the trial schedule, ensuring the smooth progress of the operation.

The measured results showed that the vessel's speed, maneuverability, fuel consumption, vibration, and noise levels all exceeded design requirements and regulatory standards, earning high praise from both the shipowner and the classification society. Currently, the project team is intensively carrying out the final tasks after the sea trial, taking the lead ship as a benchmark to ensure the delivery quality and standards are highly consistent.
